PINK KITE: A Celebration of Life and Awareness

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Naya Umang and Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital successfully organized the PINK KITE program at the scenic Trishul Dada, Changunarayan, with valuable support from Samriddhi Foundation Nepal.

The event brought together a heartfelt gathering of doctors, cancer survivors and medical teams to celebrate life, hope and resilience. Cancer survivors are true warriors who shared their inspiring stories of strength, struggle and victory over cancer. Their emotional words were filled with gratitude towards the doctors and medical staff who supported them through their healing journey.

Healthcare professionals also shared important messages about breast cancer awareness, emphasizing the life-saving importance of early detection and regular check-ups. October being Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the event aimed to spread knowledge, encourage early screenings and empower individuals with information.

The highlight of the day was the sky filled with pink kites, symbolizing hope, femininity and solidarity with those affected by breast cancer. The color pink, recognized globally as a symbol for breast cancer awareness, transformed the skies into a canvas of compassion and strength.

PINK KITE was more than just an event, it was a celebration of life, unity and awareness. It served as a reminder that together, through awareness and support, we can make a difference.
