S.H.E. is Success

A Campaign for Safety, Health and Education

In Nepal, countless women and girls continue to face deeply rooted challenges that limit their potential and deny them basic rights. Many are still deprived of safety within their own homes and communities. Issues such as gender-based violence, early marriage, trafficking and harmful social norms continue to affect their everyday lives. Access to proper healthcare remains limited for many girls and women, especially in rural areas, where reproductive health services, menstrual hygiene management and mental-health support are often neglected. Likewise, educational opportunities, one of the most powerful tools for empowerment, are still out of reach for many girls due to poverty, discrimination and systemic barriers.

Recognizing these realities, the campaign “S.H.E. is Success”, a visionary concept created by Miss Punam Ghimire Risal (Miss Nepal 1996), was born. The slogan itself carries a powerful meaning:

S = Safety, H = Health, E = Education.
It beautifully captures the belief that a woman’s true success begins when she is safe, healthy and educated. This inspiring campaign aims to promote women’s empowerment and holistic development by addressing these three fundamental pillars.

Today, Samriddhi Foundation Nepal, in collaboration with Yogdan Foundation, is actively leading this campaign through various programs designed to uplift women and girls across Nepal. From awareness initiatives to skill-building sessions, community outreach, health support, leadership training and educational encouragement, the campaign is working to create real change, one community at a time.

S.H.E. is Success” stands as a movement of hope, resilience and transformation. By empowering women and girls with safety, health and education, we are not just changing individual lives, we are shaping a stronger, fairer and more prosperous Nepal for generations to come.
